Aims and Scope

Policy Research is an open‑access journal dedicated to the analysis, design, and evaluation of public policies across all levels of governance. We aim to bridge rigorous academic research with practical policy solutions, fostering evidence‑based decision‑making in a rapidly changing world.

The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions addressing a wide range of policy domains. Subject areas include, but are not limited to: economic, social, and environmental policies; industrial, agricultural, energy, and land‑use policies; public administration, regulatory impact assessment, and policy instruments; as well as climate policy, digital governance, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and behavioural policy insights.

We prioritise studies that offer clear implications for policymakers, practitioners, or civil society. Comparative and interdisciplinary approaches are especially encouraged. By maintaining a fair, transparent peer‑review process and a low Article Processing Charge, Policy Research seeks to make high‑quality policy scholarship accessible to all who shape or study the public good.
