Join the Editorial Board
Dear Researchers,
At Academia Fructus Press, we believe that groundbreaking research should be shared without barriers. Knowledge is a global public good, and its dissemination should not be hindered by paywalls, excessive processing charges, or unnecessarily slow publication cycles. Our mission is to foster a collaborative, inclusive, and efficient global academic community, and our Editorial Board is the very heart of this endeavor.
We are actively seeking passionate and dedicated scholars to join our Editorial Board. This is not merely an honorary title—it is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of academic publishing. As a board member, you will help define the standards, priorities, and culture of a new generation of open access journals. You will contribute directly to the advancement of your field, ensure that rigorous peer review remains the cornerstone of scholarly communication, and connect with a growing network of international experts who share your commitment to fairness and transparency.
We welcome applications from accomplished researchers at all career stages—from early‑career researchers with strong publication records to established professors and retired academics who wish to remain active in the community. What matters most is your expertise, your dedication to ethical reviewing, and your willingness to invest time in improving the quality of published research. We particularly encourage scholars from underrepresented regions and disciplines to apply, as we believe diversity strengthens every editorial decision.
As an Editorial Board Member, you will:
a. Provide expert peer review on manuscripts within your domain of expertise. This includes assessing the scientific validity, originality, methodology, and clarity of each assigned paper, and delivering constructive feedback to authors in a timely manner (typically within 2–3 weeks).
b. Guide the strategic direction of the journal(s) in your field. You will be invited to participate in annual board meetings (online), contribute to discussions about scope adjustments, special issue topics, and emerging research trends.
c. Champion high ethical and academic standards. You will help identify potential conflicts of interest, plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical reviewing practices, and advise the publisher on appropriate actions.
d. Help identify emerging trends and solicit high-quality submissions. You may suggest hot topics, invite leading researchers to contribute, or propose guest editors for special issues.
e. Contribute to the journal’s growth and international reputation. By promoting the journal at conferences, on social media, and within your professional network, you will help attract the best science to our platform.
In addition to the above, board members may occasionally be asked to:
a. Write editorial articles or commentaries.
b. Advise on the appointment of new reviewers or associate editors.
c. Participate in pilot projects (e.g., transparent peer review, open data policies).
Joining our Editorial Board comes with meaningful benefits:
a. Recognition of your contribution on the journal’s website, in the print/PDF masthead, and in annual acknowledgement statements.
b. A certificate of editorial service issued by Academia Fructus Press, which you can use for promotion dossiers or grant applications.
c. An official letter of recommendation upon request, detailing your specific contributions as a board member.
d. Free access to professional development workshops on peer review, editorial ethics, and journal management.
e. Opportunities to collaborate with international colleagues and build your academic leadership portfolio.
We understand that serving on an editorial board requires time and energy. Therefore, we commit to:
a. Limiting the number of review requests per board member to no more than six manuscripts per year, unless you opt to receive more.
b. Providing clear guidelines and templates for peer review, so the process is efficient and less burdensome.
c. Acknowledging all reviews via ORCID (if you choose to link your account).
d. Ensuring that editorial decisions are made transparently and that your advice is genuinely taken into account.
